To look your very best, our professional photography includes a combination of photojournalistic and
posed images.
Often brides and grooms have seen wedding photographs from a friend’s wedding, a bridal show or a website
but may not be aware how many of the most breathtaking photographs are made. Although a lot of photojournalist
photography is simply capturing the moments as they happen, most featured wedding photography that you
may have seen is fully posed, slightly posed or enhanced. To best clarify, we often see a moment we
feel you would like us to capture but the image might be most complimentary if you turn your head slightly
or raise your chin. This type of slightly posed or enhanced interaction is common with true professional
photographers similar to what you might expect in a studio portrait session. The best photographers
can “see” what the final print is going to look like simply by looking through the viewfinder of the
camera. Our goal is simply to make certain you look your very best.
The fully posed type of photography we offer with our weddings is a little more by design and is planned.
We recommend brides and grooms look online, in magazines or through images from another wedding and
show us a few poses and / or images you would like us to capture. An example of this is a photo of a
groom holding his bride (while leaning slightly backwards) on the beach with the bride’s vale blowing
behind her in the wind. Please keep in mind every wedding is different and recreating an exact duplicate
of an image from another wedding may not be exactly possible although we have been told many times that
we actually helped to create images that were better than the originals that were used as a guideline.
Weddings we photograph almost always include some posed photography which takes place during your wedding
day. Common times for a little posed photography happen for the gentlemen during the times when the
groom and groomsmen are dressed and ready but before they leave for the ceremony. Posed photography
of the bride and ladies of the bridal party often happens after the bride has slipped into her dress
and is waiting to leave for the ceremony. We love to photograph a few posed moments with the entire
bridal party between the ceremony and the reception. Posed photography is also common with the bride
and groom sometime in the late hours of the reception. All formal photography is posed and normally
takes place immediately following the ceremony.
“Timely, polite and professional. A perfect finish to our wedding.”
"We loved our wedding photography! We can't say enough how amazing it was to work
with Brad.
His images were simply amazing and he made our special day even more special. Thank
you so much!"
